Albania’s Mountains – Like Nature’s Own Drama Series

Albania’s got mountain peaks that look like they were designed by someone trying to win a nature competition. They’re some of the most scenic in the Balkans, which is a big deal because the Balkans are absolutely crammed with mountains, it’s basically Europe’s rocky shoulder.

Here, you can swim in the sea one minute and then be gasping at a cliffside view the next, all without changing your socks (although you probably should). Whether you’re hiking, driving, or just pointing at things from a cafe, these rugged landscapes make you feel small in a good way,  like you’re in a postcard, but slightly more sweaty.

Basically, Albania is where nature shows off. Mountains, seas, forests, lakes — it’s like the Earth got a bit overexcited and gave this tiny country everything. And the result? Breathtaking views, sore legs, and loads of photos with dramatic captions.
